Important Update – Advance notice of price changes

Advance notice of price changes to X.Communications Ltd (Xcomm) services – effective 1st January 2023

We are writing to you as we wanted to give you advance notice of price changes to our services as of 1st January 2023.

The price increases involved have been driven by the current worldwide economic environment and the cost pressures it is bringing to UK businesses – namely the rate of inflation and consequently goods prices, energy, and operational overheads within our business. We will provide full details of the price changes in a future communication but wished to provide a transparent and early indicator of the upcoming changes so that you can better plan for 2023.

We are all experiencing exceptional global inflation and we fully appreciate that you are also facing the same pressures across many aspects of your business. Please rest assured that Xcomm has made every effort to keep the upcoming increases to a minimum.

However, with the huge increases in certain costs, especially power for our data centres and fuel for our engineer’s vehicles, we are now left with no choice but to increase our charges. Many telecommunications companies have already increased their prices, a lot of whom form part of our supply chain, which has also had a significant impact on the services we supply. Many of these same well-known organisations have increased their pricing in excess of the Consumer Price Index.

At Xcomm we will not be using these forthcoming price changes to increase our margins, but simply to help cover some of our increased overheads. You may be aware that certain well-known communications companies also increased their charges last year and will no doubt do the same next year. Xcomm has not increased its service charges for many years and we have many customers on pricing that was agreed over 5 years ago.

We will, of course, continue to strive to deliver the very best quality service, investing in, and developing, our products and services to support our long-term goal to deliver you the best value for money on the market.
